Organization Description
 4Culture 4Culture is launching the Maritime Heritage Network (MHN) - a new website featuring diverse maritime attractions around Central Puget Sound.

 American Canoe Association The ACA is a nationwide, not for profit organization in service to the broader paddling public which provides education on matters related to paddling, supports stewardship of the paddling environment, and enables programs and events to support paddlesport recreation. Based in Springfield, VA, the ACA is the oldest member-based recreation and conservation paddlesport association in the United States.

 At-sea Processors Association The At-sea Processors Association represents U.S.-flag catcher/processor vessels that participate in the healthy and abundant groundfish fisheries of the Bering Sea.

 Center for Wooden Boats The Center for Wooden Boats provide a gathering place where maritime history comes alive through direct experience and our small craft heritage is enjoyed, preserved, and passed along to future generations.

 Classic Yacht Association The Classic Yacht Association is dedicated to the promotion, preservation, restoration and maintenance of fine, old, power-driven pleasure craft

 Coastal Heritage Allilance CHA is Coastal Heritage Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization dedicated to preserving the skills and stories of a proud working waterfront culture.

 Council of American Master Mariners The Council of American Master Mariners, Inc. was founded in 1936 by a nucleus of distinguished American Shipmasters who felt there was a need to share their expertise with other shipmasters, the Maritime Community and the public.

 Fireboat Duwamish When built in 1909, the Duwamish was a steam powered riveted steel hull vessel. She was 120 feet long, 9.6 feet deep with a 28-foot beam (28 feet wide).

 Foss Waterway Seaport The Foss Waterway Seaport’s goal is to expand the Working Waterfront Maritime Museum over the next five years (starting in 2005), by replacing a dilapidated wharf, saving and upgrading the historic building which houses the Museum, creating almost 1/3 of a nautical mile of docks and floats for community boating and recreation on the waterfront and also allocates more than an acre of open space for hosting community events and festivals.

 Learning for Life Seattle It is the mission of Learning for Life to enable young people to become responsible individuals by teaching positive character traits, career development, leadership, and life skills so they can make moral choices and achieve their full potential.

 Marine Exchange of Puget Sound A non-profit membership association providing comprehensive communication services for the maritime industry.

 Marine Technology Society The Marine Technology Society was incorporated in June, 1963 to allow members of academia, government and industry to have a common forum for the exchange of information and ideas.

 Maritime Heritage Network MHN promotes Central Puget Sound maritime heritage to residents and visitors from Washington State, the nation, and overseas. MHN is a collaboration among 4Culture, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and heritage groups in King and Kitsap counties.

 Northwest Maritime Center The Northwest Maritime Center on Port Townsend Bay is about maritime history, boats, and environmental stewardship of Puget Sound.

 Northwest Schooner Society The Northwest Schooner Society uses historic ships to demonstrate the power and exhilaration of teamwork. We harness the wind, giving our students-of-any-age a new perspective on their own strengths and weaknesses.

 Northwest Seaport Northwest Seaport is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the maritime heritage of Puget Sound and the Northwest Coast.

 Northwest Steam Society The Northwest Steam Society, a non profit volunteer organization, was formed in 1973 for the mutual benefit of Steam Enthusiasts in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

 Odyssey, the Maritime Discovery Center Learn aboat the maritime industry with the use of interactive exhibts.

 Propeller Club of the United States The Propeller Club aggressively promotes the maritime industry through many of its programs and partnering with other similar organizations.

 Puget Sound Marine Exchange The Marine Exchange is a nonprofit organization that provides various communications services to the maritime industry including a 24 hour answering service.

 Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society The Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society is here to help you learn about the maritime heritage of the Pacific Northwest.

 Sailing Heritage Society The Sailing Heritage Society provides diverse services to our community while focusing on individuals with serious medical conditions. Through a coordinated program, we conduct shipboard crew training while providing therapeutic trips for those in need.

 Salish Sea Expeditions Owned by Four Winds * Westward Ho Camps, "Carlyn" is a 61' yawl designed specifically for experiential education. The design and rig are intended to allow maximum student participation in operations.

 Seattle Propeller Club The Propeller Club, Port of Seattle Chapter is a civic, social and charitable organization that promotes maritime commerce in the Puget Sound region.

 Ship Operations Cooperative Program SOCP’s overall objective is to improve the competitiveness, productivity, efficiency, safety, and environmental responsiveness of U.S. vessel operations. All U.S. based vessel operators and organizations that support vessel operations are eligible to participate in the program.

 Sound Experience Home of the Schooner Adventuress.

 The Schooner Martha Foundation Martha is now owned and operated by The Schooner Martha Foundation whose sole purpose is to maintain and restore Martha and to use Martha to operate sail training programs.

 The Society of Boat and Yacht Designers The Society of Boat and Yacht Designers is an organization of designers, engineers, boatbuilders, surveyors, and others interested in the design and construction of small craft -- sail and power yachts, as well as small commercial vessels.

 The Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers SAME is an internationally recognized nonprofit, technical, professional society of individual members serving the maritime and offshore industries and their suppliers.

 Virginia V Foundation The Virginia V is the last operating wooden-hull steamship of the famed Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet. Built in 1922 and recently restored, a cruise onboard her offers a chance to capture all the excitement and romance of the fabled days of steamship passage

 Westport Maritime Museum This historic museum building was built in 1939 to serve as the Coast Guard's Lifeboat Station, Grays Harbor.

 Wooden Boat Foundation Our mission is to celebrate and preserve traditional maritime skills, heritage and culture through education and community participation.

 Working Waterfront Maritime Museum The Working Waterfront Maritime Museum is operated by the non-profit organization – Foss Waterway Seaport. The Museum, located at the foot of Tacoma’s downtown core along the Thea Foss Waterway, offers visitors a variety of opportunities. Guests of the Museum can view maritime artifacts and historic small watercraft, watch boat restoration and new boat construction, participate in hands-on activities for all ages, enjoy lectures about local maritime history, take part in one of our many special events and return often to see visiting exhibits. The Museum welcomes group tours and school field trips by appointment.
